The Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea is widely considered an absolute beast of an over-engineered professional tool watch. To achieve its massive depth capability without turning the watch into a complete sphere, Rolex engineered a central nitrogen-alloyed steel ring inside the case. This supports both the ultra-thick 5.5mm crystal and the titanium caseback, bearing the brunt of the crushing deep-sea pressure.
