The Master Geographic from Jaeger-LeCoultre is an unusual and useful take on a two time-zone watch, and it doesn't hurt that it has style to burn – many dual time-zone watches have a little bit of a cookie-cutter resemblance but the Master Geographic offers its own take on the complication. The time in the second time zone is shown in a sub-dial located at 6:00, which is connected to the city indicator – change the date and the time in the sub-dial will change as well (the crown at 10:00 is for adjusting the city disk and the hours of the second time zone. Once set up the watch is extremely easy to use, and it combines the reference cities system of a classic world-timer with the ease of use of a more conventional dual time-zone watch.
A power reserve display and date display round out the useful complications of this modern classic – like so many of the watches made by Jaeger-LeCoultre, an exercise in practicality and robustness that gives up nothing in elegance as well.
