This Chopard L.U.C Chrono One Flyback in titanium is a highly exclusive, 100-piece limited edition. Crafted in matte-finished, medical-grade Titalyt titanium was introduced as an ultra-lightweight, rugged counterpart to steel and prior precious metal models in 2019. The Titalyt is a material widely used in the aerospace, aeronautical and medical fields which translates to lightness of titanium, but with hardness and abrasion resistance reinforced by an electro-plasma treatment.
Powering the Chrono One is the 359-part, 45-jewel in-house Calibre 03.03-L. A self-winding movement, it features a flyback complication and an openworked rotor in 22k gold with 60-hour power reserve. The movement is pleasantly finished, with its bridges adorned with the Côtes de Genève motif.
The dial of the Chrono One welcomes aesthetic details shared across the entire L.U.C collection: the dauphine fusee-type hands with Superluminova, the faceted arrow-shaped applied hour markers, the slender understated fonts, along with the L.U. CHOPARD marquee at the 12 o’clock position. In the Titalyt version of Chrono One, the emphasis is on sports and adventurous pursuits, with a play on colors which resulted in military green dial, punctuated by steel grey hour-markers, hands and counter rims.
